Mrs Webb facilitated a Maths enrichment group in Terms 1 and 2 for selected students from Years 5 and 6. Students were invited to create a project that solved a problem using Maths. Ethan (Year 5) and Jaylene’s (Year 6) projects were chosen as our school’s entries for the MAWA (Maths Association of Western Australia’s) Talent Quest.
I am very pleased to be able to announce that both their entries were awarded HIGH DISTINCTIONS at Monday’s awards presentations at Scitech! They were also chosen to represent WA as the Year 5 and Year 6 entrants at the National Talent Quest. Well done to Ethan, Jaylene and all the students for putting so much effort and passion into their Maths projects.
